Proof of existence: check a document

Pick a file. Your browser computes its SHA-256 hash locally; the file never leaves your device. Only the hash is sent to look up a receipt.

or paste a SHA-256 hash:

What a successful check means: evidence that this exact hash existed no later than the anchoring block time on the stated chain. It says nothing about who made the document, what it means, or whether it is valid. It is a plain electronic time stamp, not an eIDAS trust-service time stamp or signature, and it supports evidence; it does not replace a notarial deed. Any byte change (even re-saving) gives a different hash. XML files are hashed byte-for-byte here. Receipts use the OpenZeppelin StandardMerkleTree format, so anyone can check them with standard tools. Once submissions open, receipts will be issued after 5 block confirmations.
