Withdraw from contract
Version 1.0 · Effective 23 October 2026
This page is the withdrawal function for consumers. It covers every paid service we sell online: DataQuery credits and add-ons, pay-per-request API access (x402), EventHook plans, the alerts pilot, reports and workshops. Paid services are Coming soon: nothing is on sale yet and no payments are taken, so there is no contract to withdraw from yet. The withdrawal form below opens together with paid services; until then this page is for information only and sends nothing.
Your right of withdrawal
9.1 If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from a contract with us within 14 days, without giving a reason. This applies to every paid service we sell online: credits, pay-per-request access, add-ons, EventHook plans, alerts pilot plans, reports and workshops. The 14 days start on the day the contract is concluded: the day you order (for credits, subscriptions, reports and workshops) or the day you activate pay-per-request access. A renewal of a subscription is not a new contract and does not start a new withdrawal period.
9.2 How to withdraw. Use the "Withdraw from contract" function on this page (when paid services open) or in your account, or send us a clear statement (for example with the model form below) by e-mail to [to be announced] or by post to the address in our legal notice. It is enough that you send it before the 14 days end. We confirm receipt of your withdrawal by e-mail without delay, with its content and the date and time we received it.
9.3 If you want to start straight away. We only start during the 14 days if you ask for this at checkout. Asking is optional. If you ask:
- Credits, pay-per-request access, subscriptions, commissioned reports and workshops (services): you ask us to start performing the service immediately, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed (for example when all credits from that purchase have been used, a paid request has been served, a commissioned report has been delivered, or the workshop has taken place), and that if you withdraw before that, you pay a proportionate amount for what we have already provided (section 9.4).
- Ready-made reports (digital content, section 13): you agree that we make the report available for download immediately, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the download or online access has started. We confirm this in your order e-mail.
If you do not ask to start straight away, your credits, pay-per-request access, subscription or ready-made report become available after the 14 days, and we only start work on a commissioned report after the 14 days. A workshop dated within the 14 days can only be booked if you ask to start straight away.
9.4 Refund. If you withdraw, we refund within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal everything you paid under that contract, minus the proportionate amount, if any:
- credits: if you asked us to start straight away, you pay the price of the credits from that purchase you have already used; if you did not, you pay nothing;
- pay-per-request access: the contract ends; requests already served at your request remain paid;
- subscriptions: if you asked us to start straight away, you pay for the part of the billing period up to the day of your withdrawal, pro rata to the days (for a yearly plan, by days of the year); if you did not, you pay nothing;
- commissioned reports and workshops: if you asked us to start straight away, you pay the part of the price that corresponds to the part of the service we had already performed when you withdrew, compared with the full service; if you did not, you pay nothing.
The proportionate amount is calculated from the total price in the contract. If that total price is excessive, it is based on the market value of what we performed. The refund is a EUR amount, based on the EUR price you paid. Consumers pay in EUR only (section 3.1), so we refund in EUR using the same means of payment you used, unless you expressly agree to another means. You pay no fees for the refund.
If we ever owe a business customer who paid in USDC or PLI a refund (for example when we discontinue a service, section 4.5), we refund the EUR value, paid in EUR or, at the customer's choice, in the same asset to a wallet the customer controls, converted on the day of the refund. We never keep a refundable crypto balance for anyone (section 3.5).
9.5 After you withdraw, stop using the service, the report and any access we gave you, and do not let others use them. We block the credits, keys or access concerned.
9.6 When there is no right of withdrawal. You cannot withdraw:
- from a service that has been fully performed, if you asked us to start straight away and gave the acknowledgement in section 9.3;
- from a ready-made report once the download or online access has started, if you gave the consent and acknowledgement in section 9.3 and we confirmed them.
Free plans and free reports involve no payment and can be ended at any time.
The withdrawal function (when paid services open)
When paid services open, this page will ask for:
- your name;
- the order number or API key ID of the contract you withdraw from;
- the e-mail address where we send the confirmation.
After a second step with the button Confirm withdrawal, we e-mail you a receipt straight away with the content of your withdrawal and the date and time we received it. It also works without logging in.
